Soapstone can retain and accumulate intense amounts of heat from the stove’s interior and then emanate that heat slowly and evenly. It takes soapstone eight times as long to emanate heat as it does to absorb it. Soapstone is a unique creation of nature and ideal for stoves. In addition, soapstone is very decorative making it an inevitable choice for RAIS stoves.
